Frequently Asked Questions
You might find the answer to your question here immediately.
Your charging station is controlled by our energy management system, which optimizes the charging moment and charging power between your arrival and departure time.
If you want to charge as quickly as possible, set the EVME app to Fast. Even then, it may take a few minutes before your car detects that power is available.
Are many charging stations active in the parking garage? If so, your charging station may need to wait until another charging session has finished. A charging station requires a minimum amount of power to start charging.
Your charging station is connected to an electrical supply that also powers other chargers and, in some cases, other installations in the building. The available power on that connection is distributed across all active charging stations.
The power for all charging stations comes from one or more shared electrical connections. These may be connections dedicated solely to charging stations, or connections that also supply other common-area installations.
An electricity invoice consists of three key components:
- costs determined by the amount of energy you have charged (kWh)
- costs determined by how fast you charged (kWp)
- fixed costs
EVME calculates the costs in the same way. Depending on the type of energy contract (dynamic or day/night) on the electrical connection, the first component is also settled according to the time at which the energy was consumed.
You achieve a low cost per kWh by charging frequently at a low charging speed.
Follow these steps:
- Is the circuit breaker for the charging station switched on in the fuse box?
- Is the plug fully inserted both in your car and in the charging station?
Contact EVME if, in this situation, you notice that:
- You hold your RFID or commercial charging card against the charging station, but you do not hear any sound or see any LED flashing.
- In the EVME app, the status of your charging station remains “Not connected.”
Then contact us using the form below.
If you have not yet put your charging station into use after installation, its circuit breaker was switched off to avoid unnecessary leakage current. If you want to start using it, you simply need to switch the circuit breaker back on. Contact the property manager (RME) for a key to the fuse cabinet — the breakers are labelled with the parking unit number according to the installation plans.
Once the charging station has started up, you can use it with the cards that were provided to you during installation. If something still doesn’t work, feel free to contact us.
